I am a practicing cosmetologist of three years. One thing I have learned in my short time in this industry, is that hydration and moisturizing plays a major role in skin looking youthful and plump. I really enjoyed the texture and the scent of this night cream. The texture was very moisturizing feeling and the scent was just delightful. I do categorize my skin as being sensitive, but I did not seem to have any adverse affects from the scent that was used. I would try this cream as the last step to my nightly routine. I have tried with other products and without. While using other products like hyaluronic acid or even a niacinamide serum I noticed that the cream was pilling. I thought perhaps I didn’t wait long enough for the other products to fully dry so I tried it without other products. Again I noticed if I massaged it too much or “too hard” in my face that it would result in pilling. I wanted to love this, but it was just not a product for me.

As a beauty retail worker of more than seven years and as someone who has suffered from dry skin for more than half of my life, I’ve tried countless moisturizers. Right away I have to remove one star for the scent of this product. Granted this is a personal opinion, and I’m someone who is overly sensitive to fragranced skincare. It smelled synthetic and like there were too many scents fighting to be the dominant one. The scent did cause a reaction in my skin when I patch tested it (on freshly cleansed skin on my forearm like every other time I do a patch test. I also did it for more than one day to see if it was truly the product causing the reaction on my skin, and it was because the reaction also happened on my other arm). So I am disclosing that I was not able to enjoy this product as much as others, and I am a rare case. Because I had a reaction to this formula, I have to take off at least two more stars.I did really enjoy the texture of this formula. It feels like a mix between a lightweight gel formula and a traditional thicker cream. This is why it is still getting two stars even though I had a negative reaction to this product. I can see that other people could really enjoy this even though I didn’t.

As someone who has been in the beauty world for 10 years I’ve gotten the opportunity to try a variety of skincare products. As someone with dry skin finding a good cream is very important to me. When I first tried this cream it felt very lightweight yet hydrating and made my skin look very bright and glowy. However it has a smell to it. I personally feel that it smells old like patchouly or something like that. The smell is strong and lasted a long time and was a huge negative for me. I tried using it for a few days and it was great in terms of effects. My skin was brighter, felt really hydrated and radiant but the smell was not something I could get over. For me I won’t be reaching for this as the smell is just too strong, if they came out with an unscented one I would be 100% down to use it as the results are great!
